We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Below we explain what data we process when you visit polaschin.ch and when you contact us or make a booking inquiry, and for what purposes.
1. Data controller
The party responsible for processing under Swiss data protection law (Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP) and — where applicable — the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the operator of this website and provider of the «Polaschin C15» holiday apartment (hereinafter «we»).

2. Scope and purpose of this notice
This Privacy Policy applies to the website polaschin.ch and to the processing of personal data in connection with inquiries by email, via contact channels, or in the booking process. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to.
3. Data we process
When you visit our website, we process technically necessary information that your browser automatically sends (e.g. IP address in a shortened or secured form, date and time of the request, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL). This data is required to deliver the website, ensure stability and security, and detect abuse.
If you contact us (e.g. by email), we process the information you provide — in particular name, email address, content of the message, and communication metadata — in order to handle your inquiry and, where applicable, to prepare or perform a booking.
In the context of a booking, additional data may be processed (e.g. address, phone number, travel dates, payment information) where necessary for performance of the contract. Further details are provided — as needed — in our communication with you or in the rental agreement.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data to provide and operate this website, to respond to inquiries, to prepare and perform rental agreements, and to comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (GDPR, where applicable): processing for the performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), for legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), e.g. IT security and abuse prevention, and — where required — for compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Under Swiss law, these purposes correspond in particular to Art. 6(1) and Art. 6(2) FADP and Art. 31 FADP.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses — where technically necessary — cookies or similar technologies required for operating the site (e.g. language preference, session). We do not use advertising tracking cookies on polaschin.ch or social media plugins that profile your browsing beyond this site.
You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; this may limit how the website functions.
6. Hosting and processors
The website is delivered via hosting infrastructure (e.g. storage of content and delivery through a content delivery network). The hosting provider may process personal data (in particular technical access data) on our behalf. Where required by law, we enter into data processing agreements with service providers and choose providers that ensure an appropriate level of data protection.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by statutory retention periods. Server log data is generally kept only for a limited period and then anonymised or deleted, unless retention is required for security reasons.
Business-related records from inquiries and bookings may be retained longer in accordance with commercial and tax law.
8. Disclosure to third parties
We disclose your data to third parties only where necessary for performance of the contract (e.g. payment providers), you have consented, or we are legally obliged to disclose data (e.g. to authorities).
9. International transfers
If data is transferred to countries outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, we ensure an adequate level of protection — for example through appropriate safeguards or, where permitted, on the basis of exceptions under applicable law.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process, to rectification of inaccurate data, to erasure, to restriction of processing, and — where the legal requirements are met — to data portability.
You may object to processing where we rely on legitimate interests and there are no compelling legitimate grounds for continuing the processing. You may withdraw consent you have given with effect for the future.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland, contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy if our processing activities or the legal framework change. The version published on this website with the date indicated applies.
